Prague and Loket, Czech Republic, June 28-July 2, 2006
playing in Loket Town Square
The Morrigan was invited to play in the medieval town square of Loket for the 60th birthday celebration of Czech ceramic artist, Zdenek Slaba, who was exhibiting a retrospective of his life’s work. We were joined by our friends Tom and Marian who have their own Irish trad band, Ceol Mor. This photo was taken by our very own paparazzo, Mary Longstreth.
Donegal and West Clare, Ireland, October 7-15, 2005
Standing in front of Molloys
The Donegal Ramblers Tour took us through Donegal and West Clare in Ireland where we played sessions and ceilis and made some friends we've had for life. The tour was arranged by our friend and local Irish radio personality, Marianne MacDonald, who specializes in Trad Tours to Ireland and beyond.
The Philadelphia Revels, December 12-15, 2002
Morrigan in costume
The Philadelphia Revels presented A Celtic Christmas and asked us to provide the traditional music. Theater involves many hours of work and rehearsing, and we spent a lot of time together doing this play - and it was a little like hanging out with the bad kids in high school. Uilleann piper, Roy Rogers joined us. We were also joined by Dave Hanson, who regularly plays bodhran with us, and multi-instrumentalist, Bud Burroughs.
